1.Triumph Bonneville bobber spied testing

Latest spy shots from Europe indicate that Triumph is planning to launch a bobber version of its newTriumph Bonneville. This yet unnamed model will be the first Triumph product to be a part of this quirky, yet popular segment.
The Bonneville bobber adopts a completely different body style. It has been comprehensively redesigned to lend it the old-school look of a low-slung custom. It also gets a solo seat and inverted bar end mirrors. While the Triumph Bonneville bobber has been spied before, the new prototype came equipped with a smaller radiator. This radiator is hidden between the frame and the manifold, to give the Bonneville the classical look of a traditional air-cooled motorcycle. Even the rear monoshock is concealed between the subframe to give it the appearance of a rigid frame cruiser.
While it is clear that the bobber will share the same liquid-cooled parallel twin architecture with the 2016 Bonneville range, there is a question mark over the powertrain specifications. It is not yet confirmed whether this model will get the 900cc engine from the Street Twin or the 1200cc unit from the Bonneville T120.
The Triumph Bonneville bobber might not turn out to be very popular in Europe, it is sure to taste success in America, where such motorcycles have a cult following. We can expect the bobber to be launched in India a few months after it is globally unveiled.

2.Details of the 2016 KTM RC 390 Cup in United States

KTM has released more details of its RC 390 Cup racebikes and the 2016 RC Cup race program for United States. It will be an eight-round series which will run in conjunction with the MotoAmerica Racing Series and is open to individuals aged between 14 and 22.
The bikes must be purchased from a participating KTM dealership and will cost $9,999 (Rs 6.87 lakh). If you are wondering what makes it so expensive, the Cup bikes will come with 40-plus KTM power parts, including a fully adjustable WP Racing fork, RC8 R-style Throttle Assembly, fully adjustable WP Racing shock, Akrapovic exhaust, race screen and belly pan, CNC-machined rear sets, CNC-machined foldable levers, and more.
The engine comes sealed and may only be serviced by KTM’s trackside partner HMC Racing. Modified street-legal RC 390’s will not qualify for participation in the MotoAmerica KTM RC Cup Series but will be allowed in regional racing.
RC Cup racebikes will be available on a first come, first serve basis with limited availability, and be available for pre-order until March 31. To request a KTM RC Cup racebike, a rider will need to provide a copy of their AMA Road Racing Superstock limited license or license application.
We hope KTM-Bajaj could start a similar racing series in India, the land where the RC 390 motorcycle is manufactured.

3.Royal Enfield Himalayan fuel injected version under development

It’s been just a month since the global unveil of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and it looks like, the Himalayan launch will be the biggest two-wheeler launch of India this year.
While we’re still waiting to ride the Himalayan and also know its price, a little scanning of their social profiles revealed that the company is currently developing a fuel injected version of this adventure motorcycle. However, this version is for the North American market.
The Chennai-based manufacturer had revealed the carbureted version for the Indian market. The launch is due in the next couple of weeks, but we would have loved to see the fuel injected Himalayan in India too.
